Women's Volleyball Coach Greg Poole Greg Poole is in his eighth season as head coach of the women's volleyball team at Western New England College. He is the winningest women's volleyball coach in school history with a 100-84 record (54.3%) that includes five consecutive winning seasons. Western New England College posted a 20-13 record in 2003 for their second straight 20-win campaign. The Golden Bears placed third in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) with a 9-2 mark and advanced to the semifinals of the GNAC Tournament for the fourth straight season. In 2002, WNEC compiled a 21-13 record that was a school record for wins. The Golden Bears also tied for first place in the conference with a 9-1 mark. Poole led his squad to a 19-14 record in 2001, a 16-14 mark in 2000, and a 13-7 record in 1999.
A native of Rochester, New York, Poole is a graduate of Springfield College
where he was a member of the men's volleyball squad for three seasons.
He received a bachelor of science degree in Physical Education and did
three years of graduate work in Student Personnel Administration. He is also very active during the summer months working at various volleyball camps in New England. Poole
also serves as the coordinator of intramurals and recreation at Western
New England College. |
